Problem with 1660 super

I am trying to run a audio program which requires me to plug my receiver into my 1660 super by hdmi but when i do my task bar freezes so i can't use the program. It works fine when i plug my tv into it using the same hdmi cable. Running windows 10 and all my drivers are up to date.
