Hi guys,
my cuzin has a problem, he had a virus and called me for help, i immediatly reformatted, but since it is e machines and is really old and gay it messed and didn;t accept the xp and game me errors it previously had xp on it. Then i tryed another xp cd and that didn't work either i thought it was the ram. Then he switched his ram from his hp to his emachines, and also your hard drive, then he was able to install xp. But then every four days he must constantly reformatt if, he doesn't reformatt then it wont start up it stops at the screen with the bar, There are always two errors in the xp reformatt has to do with him not having a burner in his computer or something like that, what should i do now, thx in advance.

do i need to explain more just tell me what you guys need to know and i will

It would help if you were clearer in explaining what exactly is the problem. AS far as the format not allowing the install to function properly, sometimes it's best to delete the partitions, then format, because previous installs may be registered on the boot sector. Now, it's good that changeing the ram helped, but you should check everything, CPU heatsink, because slight overheating can cause errors also. Try everything including bios update, clear cmos etc. and get back to us.

well recently i read another post about how if u shut down the comp when ur formatting it'll mess it up, well this happened the first time i formatted.. the power cut out becuase someone stepped on the cord. How do i fix this?
