win 7 64bit or 32 the same problem
when I run the test of win 7 (rate of computer) it reported problem pilot and continued testing and after some second a black screen then blue after display error and the pc restarts
but when I uninstall the driver and I run the test of win 7 it contune to the end and after is indicates a problem test then the pc is working normally but when I try to play metro2033 ther is windos that indicate the shader card graphique is less than 3.0
i tray 10.7/10.6/10.2/ driver and driver that is on the msi site and nothing change
My crashes are mostly manifested with a complete system "freeze" and unable to recover to desktop, task manager or whatever other apps I have running at the same time
PC crash while doing 2D type things
 
Coolermaster isn't known for quality PSUs and that 5870 is hungry. I would test it in another machine if you can. Preferably one with a quality power supply.
 
Update your motherboard bios if possible.

Also, take Superdemon's suggestion and try a quality PSU (Corsair, Seasonic, Antec Neo Eco)
 
"The card requires you to have a 500 Watt power supply unit at minimum if you use it in a high-end system. That power supply needs to have (in total accumulated) at least 40 Amps available on the +12 volts rails."

A quality 500W would probably hold up fine but like mentioned above Coolermaster isn't known for high quality PSU's.

There is one 500 Watt PSU on newegg. It only supplies 360 watts on the 12 volt rails. 18 amps on 2 rails. On the up side it supplies 165 watts on the 3.3 volt and 5 volt rails so it will power a P3 like no one's business.

and i find many forum talking about this problem of 5870 and ther is hou have PSU 1000 watts
