Now I am not 100 % sure what causes this.

When installing win xp I have a SATA Raptor so I loaded the raid disk fine but then it said it couldn´t write the SIL 3112 inf file. Now I ignore that since I couldn´t get it to copy and the rest seemed to install fine. Get win xp installed but then on the first boot after that I get the NTLDR or similar not found message?

I noted that my SATA drive I have my op system on is at drive D and my other PATA drive at C and E. Now do that mean it tries to boot my PATA drive though I have my bios set to SCSI?

It is the Shuttle AN50R mainboard and it´s bios don´t have SATA as an option. My DFI was the same but it had a option to boot SCSI as SATA or something this don´t have that??

So what is my problem?

1. Not installed the 3112 inf file correctly? I am not running RAID.

2. SATA is not on c:

3. My nforce 3 150 is not compatible with SATA drives if not in RAID?? Should it be set to other than SCSI or what´s the problem?

I would try a reinstall with only the SATA drive you want to boot from attached.
If that works then add the other drives one at a time checking it still boots.
Thats what I do when useing a mix of SCSI, SATA & PATA drives.
Plus it makes trouble shooting easier as it more obvious whats going wrong.

Luck..... :D
