okay, my question is ... how do you view a windows folder through network browser on OS 9. its not showing the actual folders that exist in each drive, just a list of which Drive you want to enter.

thanks in advance.

You don't. OS 9 doesn't have the capability to utilize Windows SMB shares. The three solutions are to either buy DAVE, which adds SMB capability to OS 9, upgrade to OS X, which supports SMB natively, or use another type of sharing service.

do you know of any freeware or demos i could download? i'm @ my school and i just need it for 1 file.

Is the file on a workstation or server (with server OS) ??

Windows 2000 and 2003 server have Appletalk filesharing available for install.

edit: There's also good old fashoined sneaker-net. Burn a CD on the PC and bring it over to the Mac.
