Printers with black cabinets?

I have been using a Samsung ML-1210 for awhile now (purchased at $188 way back when). It's a work horse. But eventually I'd like to upgrade to a color laser or something nicer.

It seems like almost all printers come in boring beige, though. I am trying to do all black components, because I am a film addict. I don't want a bunch of light reflecting off components when I watch a movie.

Any ideas? I'd rather not have to mess with goopy paint, but I guess I will if I have to.

its not laser but, it is black & silver and prints beautifully: HP deskjet 5550. i also have B&W laser for data printing.

Thanks. I am not really interested in inkjets, but I am glad to know that there is at least one model out there that isn't boring beige. :)

By the way, your signature doesn't look right. I am seeing the "font" and "glow" tags spelled out explicitly. That is, nothing is formatted, it's all in plain white text. I double checked my profile and options for this forum but I didn't see anything turned off that should not have been. Just thought you should know.

Check out the Lexmark laser printers, some are black but Lexmark isn't a very reliable company so if I were you I would just buy a cheap HP laserjet printer and spray paint it. Your other option is this printer (not sure if this is what you are looking for).

Yes, something like that HP 1012 would work. I don't need 100% black, just a less light bouncing around the room. Thanks for the tip.

Lexmark X1185 All-in-One, it's pretty dark...you can also buy printers from DELL, not sure how good they are?

We have the Xerox 6250N. What a workhorse. Check it out. Why not just spray the printer black?
