i got a new hp 2410xi printer photosmart. i installed all the sofware and even did the update. when the printer is on and i start windows the windows loading bar takes about 10 bars. but if the printer is off it only takes about 5-6 bars, why is this?
 
Does it use a "i'm full of ink" status monitor?
My Epson does and is checked for its levels.
also every time it starts it goes through a sequence that uses alittle ink
I leave mine off untill I need it.
Call me cheap:D
 
yah its has the status levels on the ink, maybe thats why it takes longet to start windows
