This may sound a little funny too some but its been such a long time since I've owned a printer. Just never really need one.

Anywho I just bought an Epson R300 for light printing here and there and noticed the thing wont turn on automatically when u print. I had a canon way back that would sit in power save mode and kick in when u printed.

Seems with this guy I have to physically turn it on and off. No auto power on/off or anything like that.

Does this sound right? Kinda figured all printers now days would have some sort of power scheme.

Any thoughts would be great.

Cheers

I had a cannon back in the day, I know what you mean..

I have an epson stylus 5200 and it doesn't have any powersaving features.. Can't speak for the R300 however.

man thats retarded. I had just assumed all printers where like this now days.

Small gripe I know but turning it on and off just doesnt feel right.

Anywho, thanks for the reply.
