I did work on a Client's computer a little while ago, his windows was really bloated and screwed up so i reinstalled, expecting it to fix the problems he had accumulated over time. He called me and told me his printer is doing the same thing as it was, it is hanging in the print wizard by hanging for a long time and going to "not responding" and then back again after a long period of time. since it happeend with the new and old inst of windows, im thinking driver conflict, but im not hte best with printers. if anyone has ideas or answers they will most certainly be appriciated!! computer is a sony viao and the printer is a canon s300, usb interface
 
1. Update the printer drivers

2. Hook it up to a different USB slot

3. Try hooking another printer up to it and see if you get the same results

If none of those work I don't know :(
