Hi guys. I want to test my sempron processor because my server keeps on rebooting at random times and I Cant find the problem. Its not the RAM because I ran memtest86 for like a day without problems next test is the CPU (already replaced PSU).

So how do I use prime95?
All I did was went to torture test and selected the low FFT or somethin and let it run. Is that all I need to do or do I have to adjust some settings and connect to the web site or something?

I usually do the "blend test." Let it run for a while and it will let you know if there are any errors.

That should work fine, Just wait 10-12 hours and you will know.

cool thanks guys. So if I get no errors it is def. not the cpu then?

If your wanting to test just the cpu use small fft, it fits in the L2 cache and hammers the cpu. The blend test will test your ram quite a bit and theres no point since youve already done this.

If you get no errors its most likely not the cpu, but going on prime alone isnt always a true test. Have you tried swapping out the psu?

nope didnt swap anything out yet. Will prime just abort itself once a test fails?
