I think Tedinde bought 3 to test their overclockability (sp?) then keep the best , and sell the other to the forum or into customers PCs. Wise choice

nah the good one's i sell to forum Friends and customers, the 100mhz dogs always go on EGAY!!!!

And bingo i keep the best for myself. I have no problems getting rid of chips in customers rigs or wherever. Im not lucky or amazingly skilled, My OC's have always been Major, But mostly you have to go through a lot of chips.

My First 1.6a which was of course beginners luck on switching from AMD to intel would do 2.8ghz on air. That hooked me. Then the next 5 chips after that were dogs!!!

I've ordered from them before, They always sell stuff before they are supposed to on Fridays!!!

My credit card company loves me, I paid them $3600 last month!!!


PS. do not buy a cpu on ebay from me!!!!!:D

Wow...isn't that nice. :( I mean yes, eGay folks can be idiotic and such, but I'm sure there's some guys who have bough from you hoping to achieve a decent overclock, when you know darn well it isn't going to happen. :rolleyes:

Btw, I just saw at Inq that a 3.2 Northie beats a Prescie in most of the tests. :eek:
 
Next day AIR AM!!!! But Place says monday through Friday business hours so wont ship till monday. $34 for 3 retail box chips overnight AM wasnt to bad priceing.

I might get a jump on everyone waiting till monday!!! And the prices werent too bad. The 3ghz was $239 and the 3.2ghz was $299, Yes there will be a big price drop, But Who can ever wait.

I sold my 3.2 and 3.0 chip for way more than what i just paid for their Same MHZ replacements.

I only sell @ stock speeds on ebay, If you ask me i will tell you it's max and with what setup. It's surprising how many people dont buy them to overclock. I sold a 3.0 ghz one on ebay. last week That did 4ghz i posted in here. Got it for $207 new retail sold for $250. The guy was upgrading his Dell to 3ghz from a Celeron!!! No overclocking for him, So a wasted chip, That's why I sell most on ebay.

I think I'll wait a little while for the prices to go down, but sell my proc sometime soon.

Yeah vapo @ 4ghz, best it would do on air was 3.75 with a Zalman. which is still good.

Had to sell before the price drops.

Yes for shame my vapo Pe isnt the coldest. @ 4.2ghz with 2 instances of F@H running My CPU is up to + 16 Celsius. Chill control on the front is showing -14. Same as Mach1's and 2's, big difference between that pretty front display and actual temps.

I had a Mach 1 and sold it with a rig.

Love my vapo for testing chips. no seal string to mess with and i can change them in at the fastest 1 mintue 35 second on. Power screwdriver or course.

but After Almost 18 months. Chips are getting to hot.: :(

Might order a custom Phase change system.
 
Im most likely going to pickup a prescott. Gotta see some benchies first though :p

I ordered last night Friday night, Which means they will not ship till monday, Open M-F i called them. It was after 6pm No UPS more shipping that night. Early AM Tuesday.

There will be reviews out Sunday night, Before i get mine sad to say. But at least i have a little jump.
 
Waiting for the NDA to end today. Talked to a few people that actually do have them, and have their reviews up.

2.8 price is very nice. If it sucks, then build something and sell it!!

Or wait a little while for reviews before you decide. Im sure every one's going to have mixed reviews based on what board is used, And problems a brand new CPU is going to cause. If any.

But the price I paid for a 2.8, I doubht you going to save much on the bottom Prescott even anyone who is waiting for the FEB 15th price drop.

But as always, I order many, keep the best, sell the rest. I've got 2 IC7's, 1 IS7 and a AI7 for testing.

I've got good BH5 sticks good to 1:1, Some OCZ and Geil pc4200 that's good over 300fsb 1:1. And cleaning up my Bench just for this task "mess now" and testing and switching between all the boards.

Saves time testing all 3 at once on air, then on to better cooling for the best one.



Got the new Vapo head coming too. Hopefully it will get here monday. Little easier switching CPU's.
