Preferred Deadline ?

Recently installed FahMon to monitor my ppd on my quad and i saw that wu's had a preferred deadline and a final deadline. I was wondering what effect would meeting or missing the preferred dead lines have. Any ideas ?




 
The talk is when you miss the preferred the WU is issued to another person to make sure it gets done. This creates more work and less results, not a good thing.
