PPU more fluid than GPU?

Funny thing, replaced my PCI PPU with a PCI-E PPU(cost me $60), and tried the PhysX demos...weird thing...the PPU accelerated demos ran more fluidedly and with faster FPS than the GPU accelerated demos...

As I tried to run them inbetween cards (PPU's) soley on the 8800GT...
Time to benchmark* mayham...when I get time from work :eek:

It makes sense to me.

I have a PCI Ageia card and have also noticed some hitching in certain games that I could never completely get rid of in my setup. After trying many things to correct the issue I ended up concluding that it was most likely because of the high PCI latency setting of the card (default I believe was at 128... I even tried forcing different settings with various tools but nothing took). Since your new card is on the PCIE bus it shouldn't be bound by the old latency setting that is was on the old PCI card.
