Power supply problems

When i try to add a new power supply to my computer, it wont work. I have tried 4 power supplies, and only one of them works. I plug in everything, and all i get is a short flicker of power when i turn on the power supply that runs through the whole system, and the power switch does nothing. I have cleared the bios several times, but still only one of them works. Is there anything i can do short of returning the motherboard? It works fine except that the temp readings stay at zero and the psu problem. The mobo i have is the Epox 8RDA3+.

What else do you have running on your rig? Could be a faulty part such as CPU/mobo/RAM, if you can try swapping out parts. Also take out everything except video card, CPU, RAM, mobo and HDD to see if you can get it to post. What is the wattage of the PSUs that your using? What brands?

They work now! I unplugged all of my drives except hard drive, and still nothing. Then, i unplugged all of my cards except my video and still nothing. then, the weird thing is, i unplugged all of my internal usb and firewire connectors, and it worked! The question is why? the psu's i have are an antec 350w, a powmax 550w, an @power 430w, and some unknown 300w( i think its an antec also, and was the only one that worked.) All of them except the unknown one were brand new.
