I swear the local power company has got to get it together. This is the second time in five days the power has taken a nosedive due to the weather. I heard that the first time there were some transformers blown...it's hard to say this time around. There is some lightning around, so maybe it got something, who knows?

I'm just glad I've got battery backups on 90% of everything I own. Shut down four computers when I decided it wasn't coming back on in a couple minutes, and pulled out the laptop for posting on the [H]. I will have to say that the storms this year are a lot more frequent than they have been the past 10-12 years.

Anyways, end of rant I guess....hope you guys are still stable out there in the rest of the world. ;)

It has been storming here all day. Power has held up, but if it doesn't I have a generator I can use to get my technology fix. :D

you guys enjoy your storms.. while i enjoy an unusually cold summer.. :p

it finally broke 85F here today.. first time in 2 months its been over 82F.. and im loving every minute of this cold weather... ha.. global warming... keep it coming because if global warming means it gets colder.. ill take it.. no more 110-115F summers..

most likely the lightning hit a transformer.. then when the system automaticlly switched all the lines to a different one.. they over loaded and boom.. no power.. happens here all the time.. retarded drunk drivers running into power poles on the rural roads..

I live at the bottom of Tornado Alley so power outages are unfortunately common :(
