i really want to mod the PSU fan so i can throw in a 110CFM into it like i did with my last rig (enermax 500W modded with a blue 80CFM 120mm) then i can control it with my fan controller
 
because since i have 400CFM out the back (max) it may start sucking air from the PSU fan if its spinning to slow causing the psu to heat up even more.

and the fan is a 220CFM Delta GFB1212VHW (120x76mm) plus the 134CFM 200mm fan on the top plus a 120mm >> 76cfm on the side sucking out while the 2-3 in the front are sucking in.

thats 430 out, possibly 330 in, ill have negative pressure so it may cause the PSU's stock fan to stop moving air (even though its still spinning)

the fan came with my antec case so i had to throw it somewhere, i prefer to have all black fans and no lights

are we talking about airflow or......... power requirements?

uhh no but i have a fan controller and usually when i play games i have a headset on, the headset i have completly surrounds the ears so i cant hear anything in the room

i redrew what i need so the stupid psu doesnt need to be modded and all the fans can be black :D

3x 110CFM intake = 330CFM total
134CFM + 141CFM exhaust + psu 50cfm? = 325CFM total

no where near the 1000CFM mark but oh well.
 
Klown, I have to ask, and don't take this the wrong way, but... Why?

There's simply NO need for all those fans, to break the "1000 CFM" mark. It's NOT going to increase your OC, it's NOT going to do anything except promote hearing loss and bring up your electric bill. I mean, if you're doing it to have fun & mess around, cool, your choice, your money. But do you think it's actually helping things?

I mean... With a good heat sink, and 3 120mm fans at 5v, I can get a 90% OC on my e2140. I guarantee using a q6600 I'd be able to OC to 3.2 unless I had a serious dud of a chip.

Again, I'm not trying to insult you, I'm just curious as to the mindset of it all.

anyways, what PSU will i need to power a quad core and dual 8800GTS's?
