is power supplies universal? like would any powersupply fit in any case? i have a 300watt rigth now and upgrading to a 400watt for $14 because im getting a 9700pro today and my 400watt is coming in a week....so i will use it for the time being then install the 400watt but was wondering if its universal?

As long as you have an ATX case and are buying an ATX power supply

i got this case: Unique XX Chassis/Black with Side View Window Insert & Neon Light ATX Tower Case, 300 Watt Power Supply, 3 5.25 external , 2 3.5 external, 1 3.5 internal total bays with standard config (1 5.25 bay open)

and this is the powersupply i bought: ATX 400WATTS POWER SUPPLY HOUSE BRAND

just FYI: i only run

1. 120 SATA-100 5400rpm harddrive
2. 16x dvd rom drive
3. 1.44 floppy drive
4. LED light

on the 300watt PS how will 9700pro added run? i only run 1 harddrive

Like I said in the other thread, try it first before you assume it won't work. But my 350W is crapping on it, that's why I'm concerned about your 300W, but you never know until you try it.:)
