Would it be possible to get a higer limit on posts per page? I understand the bandwidth issues, but some multipage threads in general mayhem would look much nicer in 200ppp rather than 40.

That one is easy to fix....go into your User CP under Edit Options and scroll down towards the bottom....looks like 40 ppp is the forum limit :)

Number of Posts to Show Per Page
Use this option to set the number of posts to show in a thread before splitting the display into multiple pages.
Use Forum Default
Show 10 Posts Per Page
Show 20 Posts Per Page
Show 30 Posts Per Page
Show 40 Posts Per Page

I'm at 40 right now. I was wondering if a kind admin like yourself could raise the limit. Its really easy to do.

Unfortunately that is a universal setting and the thought of 20,000 members having the option to draw up 200 ppp at any given time isn't really all that appealing, so I don't think you will see that happening anytime soon ;)

Maybe even somewhere around 100? I don't know what the current bandwidth situation is, but it is my experience that most people, especially with dialup or small screens, frown on the high ppp. 40 is ok for most threads, but reading general mayhem is hard with such low posts per page.

Too bad. :( On a 21" monitor @ 1600 x 1200 40 PPP isn't jack. Oh well, I guess you can't have everything.

Quoted for truth.

I asked the same thing a while ago :(

It wouldn't take much to improve the browsing experience of the few who love high ppp.

Why is it an issue that for people running small screens? If they dont like 200PPP they dont have to run it, there are several different settings in the User CP.
