• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

This has probably been asked before but i'm going to ask it again. Why did we do away with the post count listed under the username? I have an idea why (help slow down spamming maybe) but most all the other hardware forums out there have your post count listed under your username and its just weird having a blank spot there now.

Being able to look at someone's post count is a good thing also because instead of just seeing their ranking you can see right away if they just have like a couple of posts or several. Its a pain to have to go and look at their profile just to find out.

Can we get it added back or what?

This has been asked many times. ;)

I miss the post count, but I don't miss the superiority/inferiority complex the old and new users have, respectively. There are people on the forum with reams more knowlege than me, and a hundredth of the post count. I'd hate to see them deterred by a cocky [H]ard|Gawd. :D

It helps controls spamming. Why spam if it doesn't gain you anything?

As to the argument about FS/FT (which you didn't bring up, but it's still important), you really can't just rely on post-count for reliability.

My vote is against adding it back.

It discourages people from posting excessively without adding anything to the thread. Personally I appreciate its removal.

You can get -an idea of /how many/* posts a person has -by their tit-le, and in the question of reliability, -their date of registration is a much better clue. I think not having -post count makes people look at these other things which are much harder to fake. Sorry for intermixed punctuation, my cat is rolling on the numpad and i didn't bother to delete it out.

its the best change thats been made to the forum ever, don't counteract it by checking profiles. In a perfect world the tiered titles would go away too

We should let these posts die.

hehe, nice cartoon and very apt for the conversation. The post count is dead and will not be making a return. It was not added to the new forums to prevent postcount pissing contests, spamming to get a higher count and preconceived notions of someone's ability and knowledge solely on how many times they had posted on the forums. If you really want to see the postcount, it is included in the member's profile for those of you who prefer to prejudge ;) :)
