Possible to get/make a solid side panel for Super Lanboy?

I'm thinking about buying a Super Lanboy for a mod project, but it comes stock with a giant windowed sidepanel, and I'd rather cut my own. Is there any way to get or make a solid sidepanel for it? Like, could you take the MB side sidepanel and flip it upside down and latch it in the other side? I've tried contacting Antec and they said they don't sell solid sidepanels, so it looks like I'll have to make it somehow on my own. Thanks for any advice! :)
 
The only ideaa I had was to JB weld a piece of aluminumto the bach of the hole then fill it with bondo. sand and paint. But that won't match the finish of the original
 
for what its worth,
I know the p180 uses the same part number for both side panels. Presumably, 1 panel fits both sides. Anyway for you to go to your local geek shop and check to see if this is the case for the super lanboy?

Unfortunately I have no welding tools so option a) isn't doable, but thanks anyhow.

Sonota is nearly the same size accept it is made out of steel. Possible to switch panels with the lanboy?
 
The P180 and P160 are taller than the Super LANBoy, so no switching side panels there unless you want to cut and chop the panel to make it shorter. The Sonata is 0.25" taller, so maybe see if you could get the exact measurements of a Sonata panel from someone here or perferably find someone in your area who will let you see if their Sonata side panel will fit. The Sonata II's panel goes completely from the top of the case to the bottom with no edge around it, so that won't fit without some cutting and bonding.From the pictures on Antec's site it looks like the Sonata's panel will fit because there is an extra lip below the Sonata's side panel that the Super LANBoy doesn't have, possibly making up for the Sonata being 1/4" taller.

I know,
I meant that the panels on the p180 can switch from one side to another. My thought is that lanboy is smiliar in that the right panel will fit on the left.
 
hey the left side panel is the same as the right except it has a window in it

went to fry's today to check it out, thier the same panel and are interchangable

yea, there are 3 fry's in houston. Rest assured they are an OK store, give them the chance and they will screw you like compusa.
 
I have a super lan boy, and I just tried to fit the mobo side panel on the other side and it fits.
So all you have to is find a replacement panel...
