I have this PSU OCZ 700W ModXStream Pro

I did not see the HardOCP review when I bought it about five years ago.
My desktop has been sitting on a shelf mostly the past 3 years.

I recently brought it back to life. I had a dual boot setup on it. with Linux mint and Win 7 so there is a boot loader.
I have noticed the computer shuts off after making a selection.
The first few times I turn computer on walk away to get some coffeee come back and the
computer is off no lights. I would turn it on select Win 7 use the computer for 20 minutes to an hour or more with no issues. Yesterday I turned computer on selected win 7
without warning the computer shut off again. I minute went by tuned computer on seklected win 7 and everything ran fine.

Is this an indication my PSU could be going.
If I buy a new PSU do I need 700 watts is that over kill. I do not see myself doing SLI or crossfire.

I have been looking into PSU. This one seems like a winner lol,
I like that it is fully modular too.

I would run Memtest86+ first before condemning your PSU. One bad mem. stick can cause all kinds of intermittent problems.
