Hey guys,

Just wanted to ask if you ever tried and worked out installing a POSReady7 OS in a VM.

I tried it once but will get an error saying that the OS Installer cannot be installed on a Non POS Terminal system.:(

Hope you give me some advice.

Most likely the installer is checking the hardware type. You could try editing it with Orca or similar to exclude that check.

I'm not sure if you can masquerade the hardware type on a VM. MAC address, yes, but not hardware manufacturer and model.

Yeah your right.
I did have a workaround in my issue. We have a physical setup with this POSReady7 and I just had to convert it into a VM using VMConverter.

Thank you for your response :)
