Portrait Mode - Tearing while rapid scrolling... Normal?

Hi have a 2007FP and in portrait mode using nVrotate on my 7900GS, and scrolling a long full-screen web page (like a long [H] thread) I notice tearing of the image while scolling quickly. BTW, It's actually more noticable on a lighter background forum than say [H] which has a darker background. Is this normal?

It doesn't do it in the normal orientation so I'm thinking it might be somehow related to the way the monitor refresh works (i.e. horizontally vs. vertically) or something like that?

Does anyone else notice this with their display in portrait mode?

An additional thought... since I'm using the nVidia drivers to rotate the display image, perhaps the issue is driver related. I notice the mouse is laggy and not as smooth on the rotated display as well.

Can anyone else with a screen rotated to portrait, help me confirm if this behavior I'm witnessing is typical or if it's just me.

Thanks.

This happens on all setups I've tried portrait on (at least 3), but they were all nVidia. It's not your conventional tearing in that it goes kinda diagonal/zigzagged. I assumed the exact same thing as you: something with horizontal/vertical refresh differences.

Some further research reveals that this has been a problem with nVidia drivers since the 6800 series cards!

Does ATI not suffer from this problem?
