Is there a way i can use a formatted 2 gig hard drive as a portable one, without buying an external enclosure,? :confused:
 
sure
youd need a bridge card
either SATA, USB or Firewire
thats basically what any external enclosure has
and a box :p

alternately you could run an IDE cable out of the case through a hole
