Polarflo's new pump

They look nice but I noticed they are using the same motor as the DD 12volt model that I have which leads me to believe they will also have the high pitch sound I am suffering with now.

Thet might of found a way to fix that but theres no real info on them yet

i'm pretty sure they just came out today ! They do look nice but it doesn't
really matter to me :) since the water box i'm building doesn't have any windows
just openings for the rad and fans ( atleast for now ) :p

The high pitch sound would be a problem :(

I just did some more painting and some other stuff :)

I got to post some more pics soon

Strange looking... I'm not sure if I like it or not. What size are those barbs? Has anyone seen any kind of pressure/flowrate data for this pump? I hope no-one is misled by the labeling: "Maximum pressure: 150psi" :D

I'm willing to bet my 2 ex-wifes that the specs will be the same as the Swiftech MCP650/Danger Den D4. But that's just a guess, I hope I lose though.................

looks like its the same Liang D4 pump as the DD4/swifty 650. Just has Polarflos signature look on the front of it. Id be surprised if its performance was any different. but with nothing but the teaser on their site who knows for sure...

It may have the same motor, but a completely different housing which could change its properties quite a bit.

zer0signal, Liang lists their D4 pump at 150psi max with their brass pump housing, and 50psi with the standard plastic one. So it's safe to say that the pump itself can handle the 150psi, but the plastic housing would break/leak/etc. Moving to a metal housing would bring the pressure rating back up, provided that the barbs are screwed in good enough. The pump curves would definately be influenced by the housing design though. I'd like to see a review/test of this pump, for curiosity's sake.

Either way, if you have enough restriction in your loop to break the plastic housing then you probably have some other issues to tend with...

Thats a pretty steep premium for just having a metal front case, but i guess if you have a pure polarflo setup it might be worth it to have everything matching.

I was saying that I hope people don't think 150psi is what the pump is capable of producing.

Great, more aluminum in your system to work with your copper. To be fair, these pumps already have aluminum in them for the DD and Swiftech models.

The Polarflo stuff looks really sexy, but what are the housings (pump and block) made out of?

$120 bucks for the same pump DD and Swifty sell for $79? F*** that!!! Nice face and all but geez.
