PocoFoam; cool stuff!

its a carbon based foam....it's has similar thermal transfer properties to
copper and is porous with almost Zero flow resistance and an
absolutely Immense surface area..

Imagine an air(or water) cooled heatsink made out of this stuff..
they even say it can be bonded to copper.

it's used in nuclear power reactors to aid in cooling.

problem is samples are 40$

i want some of this stuff.

mmmm a copper cube filled with the pocofoam could make an interesting waterblock.
 
That article is 3 1/2 years ago. Wonder if anyone has looked at it since. It def is interesting stuff.
 
Anyone know how much this stuff is now in quantities suitable for cooling a CPU or GPU?
 
The thermo company I work for did extensive testing on pocofoam. I personally ran tests in the wind tunnel with it, and have a bunch of samples here in the lab.

I'm not allowed to say more about it, but i wasn't exactly blow away by the stuff.
