So My current rig is using an ancient water block on my Phenom II 965BE. I am planning on going to Ivy bridge when it releases in a couple of weeks, probably the 3570K, but perhaps the i7 depending on reviews. I am pretty sure my current block won't be capable of making the move, and I think its time for an upgrade anyways.

Can anyone recommend a new CPU block for the LGA 1155 socket.
I am currently using 10mm ID tubing.

Thanks

What is your current block?

The diameter of the tubing does not matter. You just have to get fittings that fit the tubing, which can be changed on blocks, radiators, reservoirs, etc.

XSPC Raystorm and the Swiftech Apogee HD are the top contenders at the moment, and reasonably priced at around $50.

Current block is the Thermaltake Bigwater CL-W0010, It's ancient, but still works well on my AM3 platform.

I know the diameter of the tubing doesn't matter, and I have spare barbs for the new block.

The Swiftech Apogee HD looks promising for trying out parallel flow but to try that I would need to change my radiator setup, I think I may go that direction. Can you show me where its priced closer to $50, best I can see is $70.

I like the design of the latest Swiftech Apogee.....http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/swaphdcpuwab.html The ability to have four lines on a CPU waterblock is pretty cool.

I use these: http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/hecpureforso.html

10mm tubing Inside Diameter is 3/8 inch with a usual Outside Diameter of 1/2 inch. But it doesn't really matter you can use any tube you want, just need to buy the proper barbs or compressions.

Sidewinder computers consistantly has the lowest retail prices and shipping.

Alot of people like this block: http://www.performance-pcs.com/cata...t_info&cPath=59_971_498_497&products_id=32331

The standard Raystorm seems to be hard to find, I imagine due to its price.

Jab-tech with their ongoing 5% discount code. Still closer to $60, but the Raystorm is cheaper, which is why I said around $50.
