My $5 Ultra X-Finity just died (go figure.. actually I think it's got an internal grounding issue because it works sometimes, but not always. Faithful Antec350 Pre-SmartPower is powering this juice hungry Opty rig.

Anyways, I figure I want 500-600w because I may take this PSU to a Conroe build eventually. SLi/Crossfire can't be counted out as well.

Modular is a plus, pre-wrapped/sleeved is a MUST.

Target price is about $100 give or take a few bucks, I'm flexible for something quality.

Already looked at da egg, all the major manufacturers, didn't really see anything that struck my fancy. Closest thing was the Corsair 520w I believe.

I really want modular though, with some decent connector pairing, I only have 2 opticals and 1 IDE hard drive (soon to be replaced with a fat SATA)

HX 520 should do perfectly.

Others:
this seasonic
(at eastluna for best price) the Silverstone ST56ZF

That link leads to some memory, Bbq.

The M12 line is probably what he meant to link, and it's a good suggestion. Nothing wrong with any of those.

hmm, strange.. It was the S12-EE 550. 41 amps, and cheaper than an HX520, but no modular.
