Please help on Netscape 7.2

Okay, I have been using this software for years now. The other night, while I was usnig dual screen, due to a bug in the software video driver, I have no access to the main screen, but I can access the 2nd screen, as such, I have no choice but to shut down, and Netscape was running at the time.

Now, this software is creating a bookmark????.html file each time I click the bookmarks button. My profile sub-dir has hundreds of bookmark file versus just one in the old days.

I try to go thru Edit Preference, there is no setting to create baok up of bookmark.

Please help
