I just bought that same kit from the same company about 2 weeks ago. I have it on my C0 i7 at 3.6Ghz and runs the temps fine at or between 36-41 depends on the time of day, and it never gets above 55 when running any game or 65 for Intel stress test. My mancave is freaking hot too! Ide say get it, its well worth it and easy to install.

The pump that kit comes with is the MCP655 otherwise known as the Laning D5. It is more than enough to handle what you need.

I personally would rather just buy all the parts individually. It can take some time but in the end you'll have alot better understanding of what your shoving in your computer case. When that includes water I think understanding as much as possible is good. Just take your time and you wont have any major problems. Be sure to do a leak test!

There is no such thing as non-conductive water. To be non-conductive you would have to be made from something entirely different. There is nothing at all you can add to water to make it "non conductive". Conductivity is a molecular property of water

To the best of my knowledge any non-conductive coolant is a) very expensive and/or b) worse thermal properties than water.

Also using one of these coolants may degrade your loop as most components have only been tested with water based coolants.

At the molecular level, water is a great insulator... It's impurities in it that conduct electricity. But your point still stands - regardless.
 
I agree that the MCP655 pump (Laing D5) would have no problems pushing water thru a 360 rad (even with a highly restrictive CPU WB and GPU WB) ;)

Like maeveth suggested above , I also think you'd be better off just building a DIY (do it yourself) water cooling loop. I think it would be cheaper than a kit. :confused:

But if you want or need a kit for any reason (time, patients, mechanical ability), I think you'd need a triple rad because the i7 CPU has a stock of 130w. Please check out the kits designed by Petras Tech Shop. :p

EDIT: The bottom line on whether you need a triple rad or not really depends on your comfort zone. I know if I was to spend $300 bucks or more on a CPU with a stock TDP of 130w I'd want the best cooling loop I coud afford, The best water block, the best pump (which IMO the MCP655 is more than adequate), the biggest rad I could afford and had room for (a double rad may cool a i7, but not as cool as a good triple rad with high static pressure fans), etc :D

Building on a kit vs. DIY is a matter of preference and need. If it's your first W/C and you're looking at a decent kit (i.e. anything not thermaltake) then there are benefits. Alot of the little items like clamps and mounting hardware are typically included with the kits. I ordered parts 4 separate times and spread out my DIY build through 4 weekends, and in the past I did a build with Thermaltake (got burned) and a Swiftech Apex (excellent for "KIT"), but ultimately since I was familiar with building a W/C build I now have what I want. I also, have enough spare parts and tubing to do have of a W/C build now to... :confused:

If you know what you're doing you'll get better performance with a DIY build, that is if you pick better parts and install them properly.

This is a rather good kit as nothing is outdated or obsolete. Upgrading or adding a radiator will also depend on the fans you use with it as the kit doesn't list any as included. At a later time you can also improve the performance of your pump with third-party replacement tops.

Never been a real fan of the premade kits but i have heard good things about swiftech kits. Just have someone put together a basic kit on one of the many sites that sell watercooling materials. Triple rad, 200+GPH pump, Res, 1/2" tubing, Good waterblock.
