I wouldn't spend $185 on an 875p socket 478 motherboard myself. I would sell your CPU and get one of the new 6xx series Pentium 4's with EM64T, SSE3, and improved HyperThreading. Then for $185 you could get one of the new top of the line boards.

For the XP-90 you should get a 92mm fan. A 92mm Vantec Tornado will provide the best performance but you will need a way to control it because it will be too loud at full. A 92mm Medium or High performance Panaflo is another choice if you dont want to get a fan controller.

good advice above... why go with the 875 chipset just for PAT .. grab a new 915 board or even if you want a new 925 chipset board

go with the 530 proc and you're at the same cost if you can sell yours. or for about$50 more go with the 630.

ok, went to thermalright.com and looked at the XP-90 (click on AMD or Intel as this cooler is used for both) - under the compatibility page:
http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/main_support_faq_motherboard_xp90.htm
there is nothing about your board - there is a warning about power supply location - read the last paragraph (I think they mean "grills" not "drills")
The site also recommends a fan:
Maker: Panaflo (Panasonic)
Model: FBL09A12M
Size: 92 x 92 x 25 (mm)
Bearing: Hydro Wave
Voltage: 12V
Speed: 2450 rpm
Air Flow: 48 CFM
Noise Level: 30.0 dBA
Basically a decent 92mm fan of any major brand should suffice. IF you intend to do some overclocking - get a higher CFM fan.
Most swear by the artic silver - tho i do not know if it "voids warranty" as one of its reviewers claimed on newegg's site.

He shouldn't have any problem fitting the XP-90 on that motherboard but i would suggest a different newer motherboard anyways.
