90% of the time i can turn my computer on and do whatever..

now sometimes itll suddenly freeze up...and i cant do nothing...i restart my computer and then it hangs on the screen "detecting array"

a quick fix for this is simply unplugging the sata wire to the mobo and plugging it back in.
turn back on my computer and it detects my hd and boots up normally..

any reasons for this?

Have you swapped IDE hard drives? But first, did you install Windows XP with both SATA and IDE hard drives connected to the motherboard? It could cause a conflict with the detection of MBR.

i got one ide and one sata...both have windows installed yes...

make sure your bios can pick only one drive to boot from. I think Stryker has the right idea on this.
