plasma burn-in

Say I was to get a used plasma with a slightly burnt in screen. I know it is not under warranty but would Hitachi repair this for a price? What would be an estimate? It is a 42" plasma model number CMP4120
 
The only way to 'repair' burn in is to 'burn' the phosphors that aren't already 'burned', ie: a negative image. I don't know of a single manufacturer that covers burn-in even under warranty, so I'm guessing you're out of luck. Another option is the white sceen, which is essentially a white screen on the display for a really long time that esentially speeds up the decay rate of the phosphors so that they all approach a uniform brightness.
