Places to get started learning about computer audio

[c10]

I'm kind of new to the whole computer audio/HTPC concept. When I was in college, I used to own Klipsch Promedia 5.1's, but am looking for something a little more powerful this go around.

Aside from product reviews on newegg, which is my current method, what do you all recommend as sources for learning?

The HTPC forum is a good place to start.
The first thread is stickied as it contains a lot of what you will want to know.
There are links to Audio forums too.

Do you have any specific questions you want to ask?

Yeah hell just give us a budget and what you want out of the system. Easy enough. Some of us basically answer such questions daily. I need a salary btw.
