Hello Video Card Guru's,

My first post here but I've been lurking for months.
Question: Nvidia uses PS / VS in version 3.0 and ATI uses 2.0b and 2.0. Does any current games take advantage of Nvidia's higher version? And is it any better? The reason I ask is because I am in the market for a new video card. I current have a 9500pro OC to 9700 specs and it's getting pretty slow. I want to buy something that will last me a couple of years and I have my eye on a 6800GT. I don't want to rule out ATi just yet as I am still researching.
 
Yes, Farcry uses 3.0 as does Splinter Cell Chaos Theory there are others Farcry is the nicest though use google for a complete list of games that use PS 3.0.
