Pictures will not open in certain folders

Hey everyone, i have a problem with a couple of my folders with pictures. Most all of my folders will open pictures with Windows Photo Gallery after i click on them. But two folders wont do anything when i click on a picture in the folder. It will show the info at the bottom of the window but wont open in Windows Photo Gallery.

What gives?

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit.

That usually happens when you have a shortcut in the same folder with an abonormally long (/invalid) path. Try deleting any shortcuts in the same folder.
 
If i try and open them with paint or Internet Explorer, they open fine. Just not in Windows Photo Gallery. The default is set at Photo Gallery.
 
I had another instance of Windows Photo Gallery saved when i tried to save the default program as WPG again. I tried to use that and it would open WPG, but no picture to show. It started getting more messed up so i just did a system restore as this problem only popped up in the last week. Works fine now.
