I'm trying to do a Batch Rename. I've done it before and now I can't for some reason.

I goto File and Browse to the folder, Highlight all my pictures, scroll down to Batch Rename.

I type in what I want to call it and give it a single number extention.

Then I get the error " You must specify an extension for the output file(s).

What am I doing wrong?

It want the file type at the end of the name e.g. .jpg and, so on. Or that is how Im reading it. I could be wrong though as, I dont batch with PS.

I would like to know this too, I tried it with a file extension and it still says I need one.

Never mind, I got it, just choose extension and it will show .gif, but it renamed them as .jpg.

none of it works

what program do u use to batch then

I use IrfanView. I usually use its Batch Conversion features, but I'm pretty sure the Batch Rename works pretty well.
