Ok, so i am looking to setup my web presence, i want something along the line of an actual gallery/portfolio, not a photography blog,
I picked up RC's Book: http://www.amazon.com/Get-Your-Photography-Web-Fastest/dp/0321753933/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_2
But he works around the idea of photoblogging...
I am interested in somehow integrating my proofing program: http://www.proofbuddy.com/ or something similar, and i want a gallery somewhere like this:http://terrywhitephotography.com/galleryindex.php
I do have a basic knowledge of html, css, and some php, but not enough to design a full site like this, if i had more control i would be ok with Wordpress...
Thanks for the Help guys!

Look into Smugmug or Zenfolio.

I'm using Smugmug (http://www.photoacid.com/) and I like what the site offers at reasonable price. My site uses a default gallery look (just because I suck at customizing), but all in all, they all work similarly. You can add your own html/java/css code if you like, too.

Not looking to spend that kinda money, i realize its not that expensive, but for what all i need, i;d nee the 250/yr package... and id prefer to host it on my current host, sorry.. thanks for the suggestion though!

That's why I went with Smugmug. It's much cheaper. Either way, the $250 Zenfolio and $150 Smugmug packages only apply if you want to set up an online store. You can go with premium ($100/$60 respectively) and you still get everything minus the store. Not trying to convince you if you already made up your mind against those services, but thought I point that out. Good luck, anyway!
