Photography sites

also check out Steves camera (forgot URL, google it)
That's www.steves-digicams.com. I left them off my previous post because they don't have much of anything in the way of tips. They do have a decent and easy to understand review system. It's usually the first place I send people to when they want reviews of cameras, since it is easy to find a review based on what you're looking for in a camera because of the way they have it broken down. Click on how many megapixels, then choose from the list that comes up based on what is next important.

Not a photography forum, but if you're into astrophotography it is an awesome resource & you can see submitted galleries...right now auroras are hot due to a CME that affected us last night and possible tonight also...

http://www.spaceweather.com/

www.rangefinderforum.com

Mostly for rangefinder users and film photographers. Since only one model of digital rangefinder exists. A lot of good info on darkroom techniques and chemical development. And of course rangefinder use such as models and lens comparison and reviews.

While not a photo site persay some might find this useful for a good product. www.photosol.com/swabproduct.htm. It is a CCD cleaning swab kit for, those of us that clean our own. It is a very good product you need to get the solution seperately but, it is worth it. They also have a static brush for the CCDs' as well.

I want to join and post my pictures there.
But does only owning a Fuji F30 disqualify from being part of that community? :(

Nope, pretty open minded, just started up as a Canon forum (sorry for the slow reply!)

Being a complete n00b to "photography as art" I heard all sorts of terms and jargon about focal length and stop, and metering and bracketing and on and on. Very daunting to figure out what all these terms mean and what they contribute to a good photo...

http://www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/enjoydslr/index.html

This was a great VERY basic primer that went through the terminology and explained what affects what.

photography-on-the.net
fredmiranda.com
strobist.com
bmxperception.com
dgrin.com

can't remember the majority since I'm not on my regular computer..

I gave up on http://www.dpreview.com/forums/ they are some of the most humorless, pompous, photo snobs your likely to find any where!

Unlike HardForums. Maybe you guys spoiled me to any other forums.
