Phenom heatsink?

Is the heatsink for the Phenom 9550/9500 the same as the X2/Sempron series?

It is my understanding that there is a difference between 939, AM2 and AM2+ motherboards as far as layout for HS so i would assume any 939 HS will fit all the way up to AM2+. You can always verify this through the mfg's web site too. This is evidenced by looking at HS compatibility charts.

I think Socket AM2+ has the same heatsink mounting system as AM2, so in that case any heatsink that would work for a DDR2-era A64/Sempron system will work for a Phenom system.

Correct, it does, so heatsink compatibility is very good.
Obsidian, they certainly seem to be. But beware, as they aren't adequate at all.
