hi guys, my computer seems to be on its last legs even though it shouldnt be......im mostly talking about in terms of video game performance.....

THE SPECS:
Abit VP6
2 X 750Mhz P3's
768MB pc 133 ram
Wester Digital 80 gig hdd
GeForce 4 Ti4200 128MB 8X agp vid card
and so on.....

now i know my vid card is more recent than the rest of my computer and it is AGP 8X whereas my mobo has AGP 4X, but i cant even seem to get decent frame rates with decent settings on newer games such as Need For Speed Underground.....i have the latest drivers (i think)....oh and im running Windows XP.....

so what should i do?...i knoe i need to upgrade and its in the works but untill then, anyone have any suggestions?

did u just install that vid card? perhaps you will need to reformat ur system
how much ram do you have? less then 256 will be a big reason why you dont have good performance for Need For speed, that game is very demanding :D

Games do not benefit from dual processor machines, so according to the game, your running a single P3 750, which would suck for that game. Dual proc systems were cool a while ago, but since processors are ramped up so far these days, any current system would easily outperform a dual 750.

he did say that in the 1st post he had 768MB of PC 133... plenty to run NFSU, I ran it on a compaq 8000t with the same amount of ram, a geforce 2 MX440 and a 3dmark03 score of 133, LMAO. Granted a lot of stuff was turned down/off.

I would reccomend reformatting (backup all the .exes for your programs and stuff though, thats what I do. Just to make the installation less of a hassle.
