PERC raid card issue

Hi,

I've a dell 6300 which has a perc II raid storage card. I recently moved (during which it was unplugged for a few weeks) & when I turned it back on, the card no longer appeared to be working - on hardware initialisition boot it brings up the info about the card, says "initialising bios" (with respect to the card), but eventually gives a "host adaptor at port ... not responding".
I then thought about trying to reflash the bios, so I moved the card to a dell 1300 (which has a different perc card). I have & booted up, this resulted on lots of pretty colours on the screen after it tried to initialise the card so I rebooted without the card in, and it now can't detect the perc card that was originally working in the dell 1300.

Quite annoying - does anyone have ideas on why it is behaving like this & how I can fix it?

I've had simular issues on a PE6450 with a perc 3. I think this is most likely an issue of re seating the card.
