Just checked out my stats today, then the team page, the ozzies are really creating a gap quick, this seems tobe because half the front page turned in no units o_O

people left for the ozzies or what ?

i've not been consistent on my end for which i apologize...hopefully, we'll get some good work done this weekend.

cheer,s

At times you're going to see drops and surges in the points folks turn in. Stanford has been releasing some very large work units that can take 36 hours or even more on the fastest machines. Keep an eye out and you'll see most take a large jump in their daily output. ;)

anyone caught "jumping ship" will recieve a beating by me (if u're a guy) and a spanking (if u're a girl) ;)

I dunno if there are any women on the team other than Liz Lehmann (SP sorry!)

Some of the wife/SO/GF/SWMBO computers may be 'in use' though :D

I don't see any 'ship jumping' :D

Actually, I believe that [H] is out producing OCAU right now... or producing nearly the same amount.

Check the 'points update' column and you'll see this.

Yeah, we've actually outproduced them the past 2 updates! :)

By about 4,000 points even. :)

Can't jump ship, I'm getting to old to swim far :D

Folding..cause it's what I do

I'll be adding my A643200+ System ASAP (it's in teh process of stability testing as we speak). In fact, as soon as I get home (assuming it's stable) in it goes! Unfortunately, it's only going to be running 256MB of RAM (my other 2 sticks turned out to be bad  ), so I dont' know how/if that will impede performance.

man..i remember, back in the day (last year), for about one school year, i had a folding farm. We had all these computers (~5) plus my teacher's laptop plus his desktop in his room. They were all on the LAN for "research" (read: Quake 2, that's right, oldschool baby! :D). Well, needless to say, I immideately got Folding on them. His Laptop was ~900MHz, his Desktop ~2.0Ghz (i Think). And the five machines in the back were all ~400, or 450MHz (pentium II's, i think.) Man, that was t3h sh!t.

Shit I lept off the Titanic many moons ago! I'm cheering from the fucking iceberg!

...still here. These P4 pigs, er. rigs are really chewing on these latest units...

The ship won't even let me onboard.

Folding@Home hates my computer, it just stalls in the middle of doing a work unit and exits.

Hmmmmmm

Details ? Like: OS (looks like Unix), CPU, temps, what other processes are running with it...

Sombody should be able to help you...

Well, I've made sure my sytem is completely stable: RAM is up to snuff in Memtest86, and I've prime95ed and CPUburned it for 24 hours; plus, it's also compiled huge programs that take over 8+ hours to compile, so I know the system works fine.

Maybe I didn't follow the instructions on running the Linux client, or I did something stupid...

I'll give it a try again later.

edit:

Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz
1 GB Mushkin Level II (for the time being, I agreed to sell it)
Gentoo Linux

Idles at 44 C/Load at 55 (though 60 lately...) on an Abit IC7-G

As for processes: I've got X, Openbox, Firefox mainly running all the time.

If anyone wants to test their system to see how it handles folding-like tests, give LPerry's stresscpu program a try. It's available at the bottom of the download page of www.em-dc.com.

That's what it is. The icebergs aren't melting, they're sinking! :D For the love of god and humanity, get your ass back in the water. :p
