I was looking through Everest and came across something perplexing. Why does it say my effective FSB is 100Mhz? Shouldn't it be 400? 100QDR?

Probably Everest is just being gimp. Try to run a memory benchmark test. If Everest is correct you shouldn't pass about 800MB/sec throughput (try Sisoft Sandra for this)

I think your score is average and fine for the read/write.

Negative timings would actually mean that his ram is going faster than infinite cycles per second, that aint happenin tho. lol. dude im bored, 100ns, thats kinda slow
 
Damn, and I was happy with 59.5ns@3.9GHz on the Max3. On the other hand my entire rig cost less than a current FX :)

My $300 3700+ and $50 TwinMOS SP did this
 
That's sick! What type of cooling are you utilizing?

I was gonna get some of that cheap UTT myself (it's everywhere!!) until I discovered that the 875P tends to hate those chips (even if mobo applies adequate juice). I will get a 4400X2 when the prices come down a bit, prolly running a DFI nf4 with 2GB UTT.

and again, very nice!

Air cooling on both the CPU and ram. For CPU, XP90C. RAM, an 80mm fan and an exhaust blower.

The ram is now in Canada (or at least should be by now), along with the board. The 3700+ went to San Diego. The XP90C is sitting pretty on my X2 4200+ now.

Ur latency settings are so low, but they dont seem to be giving u much benefit over mine.

And yet they still won out.

Still, that's pretty good latency there for TCCD.
 
well they won out but im also on a dual channer controller which usually causes the latency to be somewhat higher
 
I need to get Everest and see what my system does latency wise.

It had to be really low when I was running 300FSB with ram at 2-2-2-5 (and 3:2 ratio)
