Pentium D heatsink question

Does the retail Pentium D 805 heatsink come with a thermal pad on it? My cousin's building a cheap pc and doesn't really know what he's doing. I'm hoping that he wont' have to worry about putting on thermal stuff (not that it's hard, but any steps we can eliminate are great).

Thanks!!
Jason

Yes, all the newer stock Intel heatsinks have the thermal pad. Intel almost always has had a thermal pad on their heatsinks, but my Pentium 4 3.06GHz 533FSB processor did not have it. Instead it came with a tube of thermal grease.

When I bought a 805 retail boxed.. it came with HSF with paste already on it. At first I used it as it came.. then added AS5 and got a lower temp.. then switched to water cooling :)
