Peltier wire lengths.....

This might be a ridiculously stupid question here, but I was curious about this and had never really found an actual answer.

What I need to know is if most Pelts come with a certain "set" wire length and/or if there's any way to get anything longer or alter them. The reason I want to know is because I'm seriously considering Pelting my XT-PE to clear 700Mhz, but the Meanwell would be installed in the bottom 5.25" bay in my PC61B, and I'd wanna route the wires from the Pelt to keep my case looking as clean as it already is.

Yes I am a neat freak with my wiring in my case, and it's honestly to the point that I might think twice about getting the Pelt if I can't route and hide the wires. ;)

Lend a brother a hand.....gotta get my CPU and GPU both running at sub-zero temps.

They can be lengthened just like any other wire. Make sure to use the proper gauge wire, I usually go no smaller than 16 ga when dealing with a pelt. Some will go bigger, but I stick with 16 ga.

Sounds good, it's just that i see some Pelts listed as having insulated wiring and I was never 100% sure just what that meant...and if it would be easy enough to lengthen the wires.

I guess that answers that though.....now as soon as I can get it in my head to spend $160 CDN on one of those Meanwell's I'll get the XT-PE up and running.....sub-zero style. ;)
