im gettin a 36gb raptor wendsday, just wondering how much i should expect from pcmark. my 5400rpm hd is terrible, i only get a HDD Score of 3140 on pcmark. :(

thx in advanced.
 
I just tested my Raptors ( albeit in RAID 0 ) and got a score of about 6300. You should be relatively close to that. Maybe above, as it was testing the C: drive.
 
i do not think pcmark gives accurate results for harddisk benchmark, you better try hdtach or winbench they both will give you better resutls than pcmark

and of course Storagereview's review of the 36GB Raptor and the Comparitive Database (select a benchmark and sort)

Personally Id say pass on HDTach as well and just use Winbench99 for rudimentary benchmarking
