PCIx 4?

is a 4x slot (bandwidth wise obviously) going to handicap a card for folding? Looking at a 2 slot board for 40 bucks, but second slot is 4x , does that matter?

looking at using this board as a server (files for home net) and to get some of my carsd split up so they can reach their PPD max's

also, will I get the shader issue with a 8800GTX and a 9800GX2 in the same box, because they have the same count..

It will not matter. My x58 board has a third 4x slot. It does NOT affect GPU2 at all.

Can't answer the shader question as there have been answers both ways and honestly don't know anymore

I'm fairly certain you will not have any issues based on what I have read.
