is a 4x slot (bandwidth wise obviously) going to handicap a card for folding? Looking at a 2 slot board for 40 bucks, but second slot is 4x , does that matter?

looking at using this board as a server (files for home net) and to get some of my carsd split up so they can reach their PPD max's

also, will I get the shader issue with a 8800GTX and a 9800GX2 in the same box, because they have the same count..
 
It will not matter. My x58 board has a third 4x slot. It does NOT affect GPU2 at all.

Can't answer the shader question as there have been answers both ways and honestly don't know anymore :D
