PCIe power adapters?

I just ordered a 5870 and I know it comes with two 6-pin to 4-pin x2 molex adapters, but I was wondering if a 4-pin female to 6-pin male adapter exists? I'd like to somehow use the four 4-pin PCIe connectors my PSU currently has somehow without having to use molex.

PCI-e power only comes in 6 or 8 pin configurations. I'm somewhat confused on how you have 4-pin PCI-e power connectors.
