PCI Express Power Plug Question

I just bought a new Enermax EG495AX-VE SFMA 2.0 (485 Watt) power supply. It has separate 12+ volt power rails for PCI Express. However I have a 6800GT which uses a regular molex connector. I was wondering if it was possible to convert a pci express plug back to the older molex style. I'd really prefer to have my v-card on its own separate rail. I emailed Enermax and they have yet to respond. Thanks in advance.

They make Molex to PCIe adapters, but I haven't seen the reverse. However, you could probably build one with parts from Frozen CPU or XOxide.

not really its lacks the +5V

look at the wires its 3 yellow and 3 black (+12V & Ground)
with no red to be seen (+5V)

the other way round (molex to PCI-E) employs 2 molex connector to pull 3 +12V and three Grounds and doesnt employ the +5V reds

you could certainly pop the top and solder on a dediated strand
but whats recommended is just pick one of the other strands and place only your vidcard on it
